Carol Scaife Memorial Scholarship
The Carol Scaife Memorial Scholarship program gives one student or recent graduate the opportunity to spend three days learning and networking with healthcare marketing and public relations professionals from across Wisconsin at the annual conference.
The scholarship was developed in 2006 to honor Carol Scaife, who served on the WHPRMS board for a number of years and had a great passion for healthcare marketing. She experienced an untimely death in 2005. She was always willing to help others, and this scholarship will allow her to continue to touch the lives of others in positive ways.
The opportunity is for any journalism, marketing, public relations, or advertising students with interest in the healthcare industry (must be of junior or senior status; in the final year of a technical degree program; or a recent graduate). Completed applications should be submitted along with a current resume, an essay and two letters of reference on or before May 1. The recipient will be named and all applicants contacted on or before August 15.
The estimated value of the scholarship is $750 and includes registration for the annual conference, two nights of lodging at the conference location, a stipend of $100, and one year of membership in WHPRMS so networking and education may continue.
