As a professional in the healthcare communications industry, you dedicate yourself to the successful development and growth of your organization. WHPRMS recognizes your commitment and offers you the opportunity to gain personal recognition for your professional accomplishments.
The Leadership Recognition program uses a series of tools which allow members to track their professional achievement and growth. Over time you can accumulate points for accomplishments and earn recognition in the program. You can earn credit for education, work experience, professional society membership, participation in WHPRMS and other organizations, and awards received. In addition, you can gain points when you serve as an educator or mentor of others and for case studies outlining successful communications projects.
If you have been a member of WHPRMS for two or more years and meet the program criteria, you are invited to apply for Certified status. Once Certified status is achieved, we encourage you to work towards Accredited status.
Then, when you are ready, you can apply for Fellow status, an honor bestowed upon a select number of members who have demonstrated exceptional competence and ability in the areas of leadership, problem solving, innovation, and impact on their organizations, communities and the industry as a whole.
What are you waiting for? Don't let your professional accomplishments go unnoticed. Take some time to complete and submit your application today and achieve the level of recognition you deserve.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and can be downloaded from this site. If you are applying for Certified status simply complete the form, total your points and submit it and your payment when you have accumulated an adequate number of points. Accredited and Fellow applicants simply need to update their previous applications and resubmit with new supporting materials and the appropriate payment.
Award recipients will be contacted by e-mail and awards will be presented during the banquet at the annual conference. The Chief Executive Officer or President of each recipient's organization will be notified of the accomplishment and recipients will receive a media release for local submission.
