Member Benefits

Our membership incorporates a broad spectrum of experience and talents from those new to the field, full of objectivity, enthusiasm and ideas, to those in leadership positions who offer the gifts of wisdom, insight and guidance. Benefits include:

• Highly esteemed educational programming. Our annual spring Professional Development Day and fall 3-day conference feature national speakers addressing timely, strategic subject matter of relevance to our membership.
• An idea-exchange program. Members learn from other members via our on-line Hot Topics program.
• A respected awards program. Communications Review, our annual awards program, recognizes outstanding work in the fields of media, marketing, planning, design, writing, advertising and public relations.
• Opportunities for member interaction. District Representatives serve their members by offering opportunities to network on a close-to-home basis.
• Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Representation. WHPRMS is represented on the Council of Governmental Affairs of the WHA and serves, in an advisory capacity, on other WHA committees and programs as appropriate.
• Job Referral Program. Members use our membership mailing list and on-line job posting service to both seek and share new employment opportunities.
• E-newsletter and Email service. Every busy professional's friend, we use electronic communication to alert members to new employment opportunities, WHPRMS events, membership, scholarship opportunities, WHA news and legislation and news that could impact Wisconsin health care providers.
• An active board of directors. To carry out the mission of WHPRMS, board members meet five times a year at various locations. For those seeking an opportunity to grow their leadership skills, nominations to serve as a WHPRMS board member are available to members following two years of membership.
• A valuable professional recognition program. Member accomplishments are recognized through our Leadership Recognition Program. Incorporating measurement tools and a peer-review process, leaders advance to certified, accredited and fellow status.
• Student Memberships. With an eye to the future, WHPRMS offers student members our full range of member benefits. Students especially appreciate our job referral and scholarship programs, networking options and resume development, all at a reduced membership rate.
