The District Representative

Two years

Requirements:
Must live and/or work in the district he or she represents. Must have been a member of WHPRMS for at least two years and have working knowledge of the organization.

Consideration will be given to professional expertise and involvement and service to the organization.

Job summary:
Represents the concerns and interests of members within their respective district and communicates with them frequently on various issues.

Duties:

  • Actively participates in WHPRMS board meetings and decisions.
  • Communicates the WHPRMS services and upcoming events, as well as board’s actions, concerns and plans to the members of their district via e-mail on a regular (monthly) basis.
  • Welcomes new district members by letter, telephone or e-mail encouraging them to participate in WHPRMS programs and educational opportunities.
  • Updates Board on district happenings, events and ideas.
  • Recruits new members and works with Board to actively increase membership.
  • Seeks advancement through Leadership Recognition program and encourages district members to participate.
  • Plans and promotes one district networking/social event in their district per year to help recruit new members and encourage networking among members.
  • Seeks out new members at conferences to introduce themselves and other members.
  • Communicates with social media director and sharing/website chair regarding any information of interest to WHPRMS members.
  • Efficiently utilizes available resources, seeking board approval for any unbudgeted activities/expenditures.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the president.
  • Revises planning materials and presents to new chair.
  • Updates job description as needed, sharing suggested changes with the board for approval.
