Our Spring Workshop was held May 20, 2010 at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.

Andy Wallman, president of Madison-based Knupp & Watson & Wallman spoke about "Pitching Media on a New Playing Field – Applying Social Media to Your Public Relations Efforts." Andy discussed best practices in social spaces for health care communicators, offered advice to help you avoid pitfalls, and demonstrated how media relations can make this constantly emerging arena work to your benefit.

Becky Broering and Corissa Runde from UW Health presented a social media case study. UW Health is expanding its definition of social media beyond the basics of having a Facebook page and a Twitter presence.
